NEW ---Totally Transport in Blackpool ---Pictures added and NEWS-UPDATE
Monday, 23 June 2008
I attended this years Totally Transport event in Blackpool yesterday and not only was I blown away by some of the strongest winds seen in JUNE but also by some of the things that happened in connection with the sale of WALLACE TRICKETTS PRINTS , which once they do come to fruition I will let you know some of it though could include a bit of CIVIC RECOGNITION for the work LANCASHIRE RE-UNITED does in remembering LANCASHIRES HERITAGE .
It was good to see some old LANCASHIRE BUSES and to chat with the members of the BARROW TRANSPORT GROUP about there work and recalling memories ---Next weekend I am looking forward to meeting some members at OSWALDTWISTLE MILLS for another PENNY BLACK and friends concert where again I will be selling WALLACE TRICKETTS prints from which I will be donating £5 per sale to the ARTHRITIS RESEARCH CAMPAIGN -AS WILL ANY SALE THROUGH THE SITE ON THAT DAY
Photos from the TOTALLY TRANSPORT EVENT can now be seen in the LANCASHIRE GALLERY click on the JOHN EARNSHAW FILE and then go to TOTALLY TRANSPORT .
The next transport event I will be attending is on SUNDAY JULY 20th. Tram SUNDAY in FLEETWOOD -- Outside the STEAMER PUB with the wife (Thats outsider the pub love ) and again PENNY BLACK helping to raise funds for ARC by which time it is hoped to have a print of a FLEETWOOD tram in the growing list of WALLCE TRICKETT prints and also a print of ACCRINGTON CORPORATION BUSES which as well as being available to you through this site could also be for sale to the locals either in ACCRINGTON TOWN HALL or through the LANCASHIRE LIBRARY SERVICE --throughout the county with all the other Lancashire Prints in the collection . The Prints containing scenes from the Barrow in Furness area could also be available from the DOCK MUSEUM in AUGUST as I am presently in negotiations with the venue --Watch this space
Great Pics JOhn. I love the old buses.I feel a little envious being all this way away.I would probably go to these events. Keep up the good work this site gets better and better. John.
