NEW ----Film from Days gone bye Print E-mail

I am trawling through some old films that have been sent to me . These make fascinating viewing just look at the buildings the people and how less cluttered everything looks . I have edited and added music to this so take a look and see if you can recognize where it is  and from what year .

avatar I've no idea of any of the locations, I have seen trams in Bolton and Manchester as well as Blackpool but I have no recollection of ever seeing an open top one, except just maybe during the Blackpool illumunations.

avatar Well wherever this is its a fasinating piece of film, a treat to see.
I will peruse my books but am guessing its a major north west town or city by density of traffic and trams, can not make out destinations, most places had similar liverys back then so its a good question.

avatar So far I can not find any photos of North west tram companies that ran with a white strip just above the safety catcher at the front-but liveries did change. My guessing over date would be around 1935, the motor buses look new and all look like early Leyland Titans very similar to those operated by Birkenhead, Bolton, Preston or Barrow and perhaps afew others. However these do not look like Barrow Trams.I cannot recognise the location as such.

The answer will be intriguing to say the least.

the opening scene is at the Junction of Ainsworth St and Salford
Later scenes are on Accrington Rd
