The Lancashire Authors’ Association was founded in 1909. Its objects are to foster and stimulate interest in Lancashire’s literature, history and traditions.
The Association is not solely for writers, but is for anyone interested in those things which make our County such a wonderful place.
You are assured of a warm welcome, entertainment and stimulating discussion at our meetings. Annual writing competitions covering a variety of subjects are held for members to participate in if they wish, for which trophies and prizes are awarded.
Membership will also allow you access to the Association Library, which has been described as unique; holding over 2500 books, pamphlets and manuscripts relating to every aspect of Lancashire.
