Thanks John for giving your time to filming Barrow, the 20 minutes it took to watch flew by.You showed a good memory of how things were before we were ripped apart by administrative Cumbria.

LONG LIVE LANCASHIRE

avatar Thanks John, really enjoyed the tour and certainly amazed at the changes around Hindpool. The 'Alfred'holds special memories-had my farewell do there and also where you stood in Portland walk, as will mention soon on the blog.
Thanks again, look forward to your next place of call.

Gosh - that took me back. Havn't been back to there in a fair few years. Some also made me feel a bit sad but certainly stimulated many memories of some times in Barra' - some happy - some sad. Good stuff John.

avatar Absolutely brilliant !!!!! Some places are beyond recognition - but ..... John Whinnerah - I worked there for 12 years !! all the pubs - I remember them, Hartington St. was where my Mam & Dad were married at Methodist church, sad, sad to see Barrow Market all closed down - don't recognise some parts of Hindpool Rd. - ....ohh but the feel .... of being in Barrow again ... aaah - almost as good as eating a Greens pie.....
regards Joan and Dave Peart
