 accy_baths_2   Hello to all those that may be looking at this site after hearing me in conversation with John Gilmore on BBC RADIO LANCASHIRE .Why not sit yourself down for a short while and take a look around at a website that is fast gaining a reputation as one if not the fastest growing sites around with what has been described by my members as the one with the FRIENDLIEST FORUMS on the web. 

I could spend forever telling you about the site and our brilliant cast of LANCASHIRE FOLK ARTISTS ( including PENNY BLACK and THE OSSY BARD ,DYLAN OWEN  )who you can see and hear and converse with as a MEMBER .PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JOIN US by becoming a member at the WEBSITE LOG IN AREA on the left of your screen and clicking on REGISTER----Do not worry it costs NOWT and it enables you to see, hear  and take part in so much more  .

As you will have heard when I was speaking on Radio Lancashire I am after old photos of any LANCASHIRE town to begin a NEW FEATURE for the site CALLED  NOW &THEN where we take a look back to what we call the GOOD OLD DAYS and how our surroundings are now changing .If you could help send pics via an e-mail attachment to lancashirereunite@fsmail.net

 2008_0124accy21jan0025  The picture above was kindly  donated by our member OWD BERT from Accrington and shows the old public baths which is now home to a car park on St James St in the town seen here in this photo .

--Do You remember it ? . .. or maybe the dog track in BLACKBURN  or maybe the old long gone PICTURE HOUSES  throughout the county . Well again these are the sort of memories we share as MEMBERS  . I listened to the interview today,John (hope all this fame isn't going to go to yer 'ead!),& thought it was very good.
One little gripe,though - the County Palatine extends a little further south than St.Helens - i.e. to the North bank of the Mersey at Widnes(OK,& Liverpool as well!).
Although I grew up in Widnes,I don't recall ever taking any photos of the town as it was then - much to my regret.(Well,it was in the days long before digital cameras!).
