As you will know last night (Friday) was a night I was looking forward to for a long time . My wife and I had been invited by our member SIDDIE (Sheila Bird ) to a welcome home do for her dad along with other members of her family and friends .Now I pride myself on this site creating friendships and once again last night I was not disapointed . Like every other member of this site I have met it was like seeing an old mate and instantly feeling at ease in the company of Sheila, Peter and all the other guests . The entertainment was brilliant with loads of LANCASHIRE and Irish folk songs and even though a Y-----Y---YORKSHIRE song wer sung it is a night I will treasure in my heart for a long long time . I think I saw a tear in Sheilas eye as I gave her the present from LINDA and the singing of AULD LANGS -WHATS IT, was a fitting touch to the end of the evening .I also hope from last night a few new members will join up as my car stickers caused a stir and so did some memories of places I mentioned . -As for the drink well Sheila gave us name tags in case to much wer suppted and we for got who we wer not to worry it was the perfect LANCASHIRE NIGHT and Thank you once again SIDDIE ----THAT WER GRAND
As a footnote Sheila will next week send me a feature on the HOME COMING which I will add to the site next weekend ,and I will have news on the group featured on the video, more videos of TROBLE AT MILL will follow over the coming weeks so if you love Lancashire folk music keep coming HOME to LANCASHIRE RE-UNITED----Have a grand week ,I am back to painting the house and I will si thee next weekend .

Looks like a good time was had by all. It must be times like these John that makes all that hard work you have put into this wonderful site worthwhile? And may there be many, many more.
It does Sheelagh ---but what would be the ULTIMATE HIGH would be to have lots of us together with lots of chinwagin ,entertainment and a PIE & PEA supper and loads of quaffing ----
Hi John
Thank you so much for coming to dad's home coming and for the video and present, you helped make the evening a wonderful night I will treasure for the rest of my days. I know dad thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it as did friends and family, and thank you to the group Trouble at Mill, they were fantastic. I have only one complaint, take that awful picture of me off hahahaha I look worse for wear. We have only just got back home, 5 hour journey going north and 9 hours going south, horrendous weather and horrendous traffic, hey ho never mind if was worth it and as that chap whos name I wont attempt says
I'LL BE BACK
Talk to you soon
