You may remember some while ago I told of how as kids we would go to my Uncles up Newchurch nr Rawtenstall for us tea and enjoy my Anty Margarets Legendary Trifle when we used to come down from Barrow  to visit and how he would play his FIVE PENNY PIECE Lps well I have found this short video on U-TUBE which I hope thas ull enjoy because I do - Reet pass us a trifle ...... OH and by the way does anybody recognize any of the places featured on this clip

Yes,John,I recognise the Widnes-Runcorn transporter bridge still under construction,so it must be from the early 1900s.The picture is on the Runcorn side showing the Manchester Ship Canal.
The 1950s picture 3 frames later looks very like the Empire cinema & Simms Cross school in Widnes.
