It has been a rather stressful week in one way or another .Work wise the company where I work has relocated which means MORE driving and getting stuck in jams around the regions motorways and when we get there jobs get cancelled so a lot of wasted journeys .The site also got hacked again meaning loads of work to put it right again .. I also got loads of e-mails which I hope I have dealt with from our members with questions and photos . Unfortunately I also got lots of JUNK mail and some how a lot of the photos sent to me ended up in the wrong files which I accidentally deleted so I have lost the photos which ROY IN AUS and LINDA sent so please could you re-send them . I would also ask PLEASE when anybody sends photos you make sure you send them as a gif file . I have managed to put some more photos in the GALLERY sent in by TADPOLE and IRENE but more would be welcome .
Now for the site we have decided to carry on with the site and also make a few changes as although I created LANCASHIRE Re-UNITED and write the articles etc . but I thought it may be helpful if you would like to comment on the articles or add anything I may have missed out so we have added a NEW FEATURE to allow you to do so but you MUST be a member and log in to take part and this feature is on all 500 odd articals spead throughot the site so there is loads for you all to comment on .I hope this new feature will also free up space in the forums for more of the topics you love to chat about .
I am continually looking at ways of improving the site and if you have any suggestions lets be having them I.E do we have any expert gardeners who may be able to show us others the way
Belive me Jack .This site is like any other system on the net if someone is determind enough they will get through anything , and not all firewalls are infalable.
How do you change a JPEG to a gif ? I have change some photos to JPEGs but can't remember how I did it. Is it R click - properties then hit the obvious keys or rename, that rings a bell I'll have a play later.
Syd.
An expert gardener would be handy. I am cutting less grass now and may call the bits left out a "Wild Flower Garden" names for the plot would make it interesting.
