As you may be aware I gave up smoking last year and feel miles better for it .In the last few years I have had 4 operations on one of my knees and for the moment feel better .You may also be aware I lost my mother a few weeks ago and at her bequest donations were made to the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION .
In my youth I used to love CYCLING and would love to get out on the CYCLEPATHS as I now feel fit enough to do it
Anyone who knows me knows that when I set my mind to something I usually do it so being the mad impetuous fool I am I am looking into the possibility of a CHARITY BIKE RIDE next year .
I am currently thinking of CYCLING from BLACKBURN to BARROW as I have been checking out routes .Of course I must get my doctors blessing first then get in training
I would love to get the 2 local radio stations ABBEY FM -in Barrow and THE BEE .in Blackburn involved as a sort of A-B (ABBEY -THE BEE) challenge to maybe do it in a day .There are still lots of things to think about but I know I would like to raise lots of money for THE BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION ----Watch this space
