I dont know why but each time I go back to the Furness area I start remembering clubs,pubs and people I used to knock around with ,I suppose what starts me off is that a new section of road that was built through Ulverston in the late 1970s .A club called the PENNY FARTHING CLUB once stood here and just in case it ever comes up in a local pub quiz THE STRANGLERS were the last band to play there .Where ever you lived there are sure to be loads of people & clubs that are no longer there you may remember also bands that played in these clubs ,I remember one from Wigan that played and packed out the clubs in BARROW called KETTLE ,all this takes me way back and I could go on for ages What and who do YOU remember now thats another NEW topic for our forum sorted.(P.S) NO that is not me with my missus
