What is the future of the red rose county

Earlier this year proposals wer put forward to merge the police forces of Lancashire & Cumbria into one force this after the regiments of the to counties formed one regiment.The police force Idea has since been scrapped but now another threat to Lancashire administation has today 26 july been reported.The councils of both Blackburn with Darwen & Hyndburn are in talks to merge .The former has already dropped out of Lancashire control .I fear one day Lancashire as a county will be lost along with all the things that make US---LANCASTRIANS .
