On Thursday of last week I was in PADIHAM taking photos for the site and happened to bump into an old mate of mine .ERIC BROADBELT was once one of the best speedway riders around .He rode for BELLE VUE & BARROW (pictured ) amoungst other and was an ENGLAND international .In the days of £130 .000 a week footballers who roll around at the blink of a broken nail take example from this guy who defied broken legs.arms and a smashed pelivis +punchered lung and still got back riding thats why Eric is a spoting hero PS the lad in the background is PHIL TURNER an old (well he will be now ) apprentice of mine from Dalton in Furness it would be great to get in touch with him again .
