I received this e-mail from our New Member PETER FOY as you can see below

Hello John,What has happened to Oldham?I know it is now a part of Greater Manchester but for many many years it was the Heart and Soul of the Lancashire Cotton Industry. Is  it not even worth a mention on your web site.I realise that many of your reader are from the Colne Valley Stacksteads area but there were several good old towns close to Oldham such as Rochdale,Ashton-under-Lyne,Middleton,Chadderton,Royton,
Failsworth even Todmorden.

This is just the sort of thing I have been wanting folk to come up with SO in reply to PETER

I Will get round to ALL the areas you mentioned in your e-mail  but  I only get to many places when me and the wife go on day trips for shopping or visiting family as if I just went out willy nilly it would cost a fortune in petrol and I have already done over 1000 miles taking photos  but  luckly for you we have family in Hyde so will do Ashton soon and we go shopping sometimes in the SPINDLES ,in OLDHAM.If you want to PETER you could always become our OLDHAM corrispondant .
