Was that the Baker Street artist? Think I have the LP somewhere, must get them all digitised, but it was a really big hit up here and one of those rare ones that you never tire of.

Hello John, thanks for that, really enjoyed it, I had not seen the video before , hard to believe all of 30 years ago. I bought the album Doris mentioned City To City , and I think you can get it still on CD .Some great tracks , not sure why he did not make more .

Brilliant John, ta very much. Aker were always a cracker.
Thanks for those links Phil. When I was in the RAF near Bristol we used to listen to the first one, they hadn't had their first hit then. The second link is another classic masterpiece that I can only really play when I'm alone, my wife hates it, she calls it the plop plop song, I think it is fantastic. He is related to another well known singer but I can't remember who.

Hiya Nigel . Peter has two brothers Peter Sarstedt's brothers are:
* Richard Graham Sarstedt, who also topped the UK Singles Chart himself in 1961, with "Well I Ask You", under the stage name of Eden Kane. * Robin Sarstedt, (born Clive Robin Sarstedt, January 21, 1944, Ajmer, Rajastan, Northern India) (the youngest brother), who made his recording debut as Wes Sands (recorded by Joe Meek), and then continued as Clive Sands. He had a hit in 1976 with "My Resistance Is Low", billed as Robin Sarstedt.
