George always brings me a smile Doris, and the travelling Willburys were always a pleasure to listen to.

Do you lean a bit to Country too?

Here's just a bit of country, Bonnie Rait.

Heres a very lovely special , important message and song to the whole world.
A 1977 classic which 31 years on we are still striving for.

I am not into country but think Bonnie Rait is really good, it is very unusual to see a femail slide guitar player, in fact I can't think of another one !

Very enjoyable Wallace, thankyou.
I'm with you Chas, the lady is brilliant with a quitar.

Anyone remember this one?
When I sing to it I sing it in deep voice, tho I have been known to sing in Lonnies key.

A very simple ditty, and a very enjoyable one.
Hope you like it, I do.
This one was done as a tribute to the Quiet Beatle, George.

Phil,I started this thread on July 6th,2007 and, though there have been many contributors to the thread,YOU are the main one who has kept it going for so long! Many thanks,Pal.Can we get 10,000 hits before New Years Day?
PS.As I logged on to the site tonight the radio was playing Whisky In The Jar which started this whole thread off!

I do apologise Roy for not replying to your post, just seen it.
I think it's possible to reach 10,000 hits before New Years. I'll keep on sweating and slaving, ( wiping my brow now) sending them in.
I Love this thread!

Looks like you might make it. Can the site handle that extra digit? I don't think a thread has had that many hits before. Will it show 10,000, stick at 9,999 or go back to 1?
