Phil, no thats it all, I know of the song. I never was very interested in the hit parade, NOTHING I liked ever made number 1 and only a small few made the top 10. I haven't bothered with it at all since Chris Barber converted me to proper music sometime in 1954. Syd.

Music is music Syd, it's all a thrill to listen to no matter what venue, sad world without music. This one is Southern Rock by George Thorogood, and it reminds of a story. Both the Missus, (Pat), and I used to work in the day and were well sodded when we came home. Pat loved to talk to no end, anything, everything, it really didn't matter. ( Lord I still remember this day)). I came home after a hard days graft and wasn't in the best of moods. The lass started to natter and to no end. I "actually said"! "Luv you talk too much. The words hadn't come out my mouth and I thought, oh no.you REALLY Shouldn't have said that, I was right. THen a thought crossed my mind..Number one, do Not turn yer back on yer Missus this night, you might end up with a knife between your ribs. Two, when I go to bed, just go to bed, they'll be NO messing around, so just say Goodnight God Bless and give her a peck and go to sleep. Gents it ain't worth it, believe me, it feels good, but not worth it. Loneliest four weeks of my life were them that that followed. phil.

Phil, I have heard of George Thorogood but thats the first time I know I have heard him, I quite liked that one. A few months ago I found a DVD of Chris Barbers Band so I bought it, couldn't wait to play it it was GREAT, then it came to the last track, CB made a long introduction of it saying they first recorded it in 1954 ( I have it) but over the years they have changed it slightly, but never said the name then they started playing, I couldn't recognise it, I'd never heard anything like it by them before, but they were just mucking about and eventually got into the tune, Ice Cream it is, it was very good, then right near the end the whole front line take it in turns to scat sing a piece, if you had seen me yahooing round the lounge you would have sworn I was 17 again and not 70, it was $20 well spent. Music is very powerful stuff, I really enjoy it when I put a Cd on just because it is the top one on a pile and I can't be bothered looking for another, but the one I do play is THE ONE for the day, I forget my age and go for it. Syd
