Oh boy, Oh boy, Oh boy.
The warm front beat the heck out of the cold front and we ended up with rain instead of snow (freezing in parts).
A good day.

It has been said many times before but I'll say it again, snow is fine on postcards.I travelled 12 thousand miles to get away from the stuff, and yes it changes the scenery on the nearby mountains and really that's as close as I want be. Summer is now here and it is gradually warming up despite the cold snap a couple of weeks ago,and hasn't the rain been good even though it curtailed my activities while I was in Newcastle last week. I was in Sydney the previous week, got some good pictures at Darling Harbour and Circular Quay only to delete them all when I was downloading when I got home,I pressed the wrong button on the camera.
Anyway I managed to get a couple of hours in Darling Harbour on my way to Newcastle for lunch and more pics.

I totally agree with you Roy, I did the same thing. I thoroughly enjoyed my few years up in the tropics and still enjoys holidays nearer to the equator.

We don't get much snow where I live, the hills all round us get snow covered, but in the (almost) 36 years I have lived in this area I have only walked on snow six times.

When in my pre-teens,I just couldn't wait to get out of short pants, now it is the other way round,Only in winter do I wear anything other than shorts, except on occasions such as funerals.Today was fine with temps in the mid 20s but it looks like we might get some more rain. Roy.

Well the main event came and went .Although we had heavy snow which began at around 1am it quickly turned to rain at around 5ish leaving us with a lot of slush which may give us problems if it freezes tonight.I did however take the long route home as the back roads where a bit dicey and upon my arrival home the wife said she was worried about me with being late ----She thought she was gonna have to take the bus to work
