Welcome To The Jungle! 2008/07/13 21:19
We were only away for 2 weeks but everything in the garden has gone beserk(including the weeds unfortunately!).I couldn't believe how tall my sweetcorn & Brussels sprouts had grown in just 2 weeks.Gwyn & I have spent today in the garden chopping & weeding, but,on the plus side,I've also been harvesting since we got back - loads of peas, broad beans, still a few strawberries, the first few tomatoes & cucumbers.I DO like eating food that has travelled zero food miles!

So do we, nothing tastes better than 20 minutes from garden to table. We are looking forward to our holiday next month, we known there will be many dishes available but hardly any of them will be really fresh.

good deal there Roy with all the fresh veggies & fruit. I know when we lived in Watton,Norfolk my Dad had a fantastic garden . I rely on other people's gardening skills now & buy from our local Farmer's Market every Sat. morning
